As for the number 44 or 144 there are times I don't see the number for a week or two and then I will see it several times in one day. And then I see it for several days. I try not to obsess about it as I do not want it to be a subconscious thing that I am looking for. I have decided to start keeping a log of these events in order to find out if it is random. There are a lot of skeptics out there, from religious to medical and scientific. One suggestion is that we see the number, then attach some importance to it and then subconsciously start looking for it. Which may have some validity as one day I saw it on my watch 8 different times. I don't normally look at my watch but people would ask me what time it was or I would look to see if it was break time. I wonder what the odds are for looking at your watch 8 times and each time seeing the number 44 and no other number.
I have had psychics try to tell me that it means something about a coming misfortune or that it was my lucky number but I don't give much credence to them. I am an artist at heart and I tend to notice things that most people don't even see. I have been reading books like "What the bleep do we know" and "a new earth" which may have something to do with it. I have started noticing more things than usual. I had one lady say that I was looking for attention or to be special. The thing of it is I have no need or want for attention much less thought of as a nut.
I just want to know why this number is showing up. Is it like the moth man prophecy or some message from space. Maybe one of NASA's messages got to an other world and this is the answer back.
At this point all I can suggest is that someone or something is trying to get our attention. I would not try to read into it something that is not there. For all we know it's our subconscious trying to play tricks on us. Don't let it get to you and don't get paranoid. So far nothing bad has happened and as a matter of fact my life has been better than normal. Take it one day at a time and eventually we will find and answer. (Note) I have tried to deliberately look for an other number such as 23 or 12 but it does not work the same. The numbers don't show up the same way?? if at all. If anyone has any ideas on how we can run a double blind test let me know. We may not know what this is but maybe we can eliminate some possibilities.

44 the awakening

There are times that I see this number often, as if to say wake up and pay attention. I have tried to work out all the possibilities but do not seem to be able to make the connection. 144 being a gross and used in the bible as a base unit of measurement. The 44 representing the four corners of the earth, but nothing has struck a cord. Is it possible I am not asking the right question? If I was an alien and wanted to send a message to earth how would I do it and what would I say? Or maybe if I were from the future and wanted to send a message to the past? Is it a message at all, maybe it is just part of a greater awakening and we need to just go with it and pay attention? I work in a warehouse all day long and see thousands of numbers, but very rarely do I see 144 or 44. I only seem to see the number 44 at home or away from work. I will pick a number to wait in line and it will be 144 or I will go shopping and at the check out I will have 44 items or the receipt will be 144. I have had days were the number will show up 10 or 15 times in an hour, I wonder what the odds are???

144 44 More to seeing these numbers than meets the eye .

I haven't paid much attention to my blog as of late. Then I noticed all the wonderful comments about the number 44 . In one sense it's nice to know that I'm not the only one . That I am not losing my mind. In another sense it is kind of scary to think how many people out there are seeing what we're seeing. How many people are out there, but who are too afraid to say anything.
I feel like I'm in the movie "Close encounters of a third kind" sculpting mash potatoes trying to figure out what the message means . At times the numbers show up with more frequency than at other times . The number 44 seems to be the dominant number with 144 showing up from time to time . I think at times it may be leading up to an event. Sastring maybe right about our 44th president, hope that it's not a bad omen as we will be electing this new president in the coming year.
I don't think that the number is a sign of bad things to come , as I have had good things happen after seeing the number 44. I think it's a little bit like a flashing warning light to let us know that something is about to happen that we should pay attention to, or that we are on the right path like a trail marker. In the new book "A New Earth " by Eckhart Tolle talks about a coming event, an evolution if you will of mankind . The last such leap took place when mankind became predominantly right handed and at the same time started developing new skills in making tools and in communication . Those that were left handed seem to have disappeared for some unknown reason. A mental evolution which mankind may still be undergoing.
Or the little green guys are sending messages into our heads to meet them somewhere ( LOL ). What is even more funny is the realization that this number did not just recently start showing up. In looking through my old records I found that the number has been showing up for years. In old report cards from when I was in grade school, to old addresses and phone numbers. It is possible that for one reason or another that we are simply looking for the number . As a result we see it more often and thus place some importance to this number 44 .
If there is a lot of people out there seeing this number then I would say that there may be a significant event coming.

Here's a funny one. You have to walk threw metal detectors at work so you don't bring in weapons, but the company your working for is an online retailer that happens to sell everything, including machetes, knifes, and nail guns.
Anyhow it's been a busy week and my question this week is a question a friend asked me. "How many wars have been started because of religion and how many have been started because of resources? The reason I pose this question is that I have found that the answer is not always as important as the question it's self.

Speaking of people only seeing what they want to. My wife and I went out to get something to eat. I normally wear a hat, but this time did not. When I went to pay the check, the hostest looked at me and my gray hair and gave me a senior discount. Talk about feeling older than you are.

My wife found this little guy wondering in the front yard. Glad I found him before the cats did. Almost did not see him my self as he blended in with sticks and grass. As I live on the edge of a desert and find my self returning many animal back to there natural home. I managed to get a few good photos as he found a new home.
Most people would have killed him upon seeing him. As I said most people only see what they want to. This little 12" snake will grow up to be a 3 to 5 foot snake that eats rattle snakes. He is non-poison's looks like a rattle snake, eats other snakes and lizards and mice. A neighbor found and killed a full grown one last year and a month later found two rattles snakes in his back yard. I personaly would rather have the bull snake in my yard. Rattle snakes will go out of there way to aviod these snakes and as a result if you see bull snakes (desert gopher snake) you won't see rattle snakes.
So if you see a snake don't be a green horn and kill it. If its not bothering you or a danger to you, leave it alone. All living things serve a purpose, even rattle snakes.

selective senses

Most people that see the photo of the marble below, only see the marble. We all do it, seeing only part of the picture , or only hearing part of a conversation . A great deal of that has to do with how we are raised by our family and what we learn in life.
For example people that move here from wet climates tell me this is a dry and lifeless place to live. They do not see the lizard or the snake, the jackrabbit, or the hawk chasing the jackrabbit behind them . Life is everywhere if you only look and listen. It is the same reason why we have not found life elsewhere in the universe.

My wife suggested it was like the number 42 being the answer to everything. But as I pointed out to her, if 44 is the answer I still don't know the question.

beleaving is seeing

As an artist I have a tendency to see things others do not. which in part may explain why I keep seeing the number 144 and 44.
I had a professor once ask me"is the apple red". I said "yes it is red." The professor laughed and said"no the apple is not red. The light striking the apple is made up of all the colors of the rainbow. All the colors but red are absorbed by the apple and the color red is the only color reflected. As a result you see the apple as being red but in truth it is only reflected light. So if the apple is only reflecting light and that is all we see, what is the true color of the apple or for that matter what is the true color of anything? Do we live in a world of mirrors or is it another illusions of the mind? Do we really want to know or does it matter in a world where people only see what they want too? With the world made up of so many different kinds of people, of every skin color and of every religion, should we be concerned who is what color or belief. After all, if we can not trust the apple to be red what can we trust in a house of mirrors?

what does it mean when you see the number 44 everywhere

I have been seeing the number 44 everywhere or the number 144 for the past six months. This isn't to say I'm crazy or that I am psychic, just curious as to what it means. I am also curious if anyone else has been seeing the same thing. The other day the number 144 showed up several times. It showed up on a McDonald's order, on a car license plate, a street address , graffiti on a wall , Wal-Mart receipt , and a piece of trash . So what are the odds or am I a subconscious looking for this number or numbers And if so why ? if subconsciously I am looking for the number what are the odds of finding that number in so many different places?
It's meaning has many from religion to numerology to simple cube or gross or even the four corners of the earth.
